How to use

The Change Experiment Card is a simple tool to help you test change ideas safely, learn quickly, and decide whether to pause, pivot, or pursue the idea.

Clearly describe what you will actually do as part of the experiment, focusing on the specific action rather than the goal or solution. Describe what will be tried differently in real work, keep the action small, concrete, and observable, and avoid describing outcomes, metrics, or benefits here.

Describe the outcome or shift you want to see as a result of the experiment. Focus on what would be different in behaviours, interactions, or ways of working if the experiment is useful, without describing the action itself or how it will be measured.

Experiment group: Identify who will participate in the experiment and where it will take place.

Experiment length: Specify how long the experiment will run before it is reviewed.

Experiment monitoring: Describe how the experiment will be checked in on and who will review what is being observed in order to decide what happens next.
